Privacy Policy
We're a journalism outlet, so privacy isn't an afterthought for us — it's part of the job.
We don't harvest your data. CJOC does not sell, rent, or trade reader information. We don't build advertising profiles on you, and we keep third-party trackers off our pages wherever we can.
What little we collect. Basic, aggregated traffic data (like which articles are read) helps us understand what's useful. It isn't tied to your identity and isn't shared for marketing.
Protecting sources. If you contact us as a source or send us a tip, we treat that relationship as confidential. We minimize what we store, and we will not voluntarily hand over identifying information about a source. For sensitive material, reach out first and we'll point you to a secure channel.
Email. When you write to info@cjoc.net, we use your message only to respond to you. We don't add you to anything you didn't ask for.
Your control. Want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted? Email us and we'll handle it.
Privacy-first isn't a feature we bolt on. It's how a free press has to operate.
